My Love Layout by Kelly Daye

Hello friends! Kelly Daye here with a new layout using Paige’s beautiful Blooming Wild collection paired with the Cut & Bend Flower Background Cut File. After your electronic cutter cuts the file, you simply and gently bend up the flower petals. What you get is a beautiful reveal of the floral pattern with your paper peeking out from beneath.
To begin, I sized the cut file to 11” square, cut it from white cardstock, then trimmed a ½” off on all sides. I used a rubber stamp and 10 Distress Oxides inks to mimic splatter all over the background. Then I bent up the flowers, spray glued the back, and centered it over the gorgeous rainbow Paper 22. Next I built two collages, one top left, the other on the bottom right. They’re filled with all-the-pretty things from the collection including Floral Die Cuts and Chipboard Stickers by way of butterflies and birds. I used the oval LOVE Ephemera Die Cut as my main title. It’s stitched with DMC floss and adorned with the Mini Flower Puffy Stickers. I used the Thickers to spell ‘MY’ and set that on one of the Chipboard Rounds - it’s tucked into the top collage and completes my title. Around the background, you’ll find sweet colored hearts from the Puffy Phrase Stickers and little flowers from the Mini Flower Puffy Stickers. My photo is set into a frame along with a pretty floral index tab, both from the Chipboard Stickers. For even more texture and impact, the index tab was adorned with foiled ric rac and a transparent floral spray, both from the Sticker Book. To finish, I chain stitched tone-on-tone all around my layout with 24 colors of DMC embroidery floss.
I hope this layout inspires you to try the Cut & Bend Flower Background Cut File along with Paige's Blooming Wild collection! Thank you so much for visiting! See you again soon!
