Spring is in the Air Layout by Phil Donahue

Hello scrappy friends and happy Spring! Phil Donahue here and I'm so happy to be back on Paige's blog with a layout featuring her Spring is in the Air Cut File along with elements from her brand new Blooming Wild collection!
For this page I wanted to document photos of my niece Zelda sitting in a green meadow wearing a cute bonnet - how much more spring could you get!? I wasn't sure which cut file I wanted to use so I posted a poll in my Instagram stories and in Paige's Happy Scrappy Place Facebook Group to help me decide! The majority voted for this Spring is in the Air Cut File and here's how I made my layout! I used my Cricut to cut the file from white cardstock. I backed the letters in a rainbow of papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad, most were holographic pages and I love the scaled down patterns because they show up more clearly in a smaller format. I backed the flowers with Paper 24 from the 12x12 Paper Pad because the pale aqua was one of the main accent colors in the layout. For my background, I stenciled a floral pattern with texture paste over the middle of a piece of 12x12 aqua cardstock. On either side, I placed torn strips of Paper 24 under strips of the rainbow diagonal stripe from Paper 23. I adhered the cut file in the middle of the page using foam squares for dimension. I cut out and distressed the edges of a holographic accented aqua 'Blooming Wild' card from the 6x8 Paper Pad and placed it above the cut file directly in the center - this acted as a bit of a subtitle to the page. I flanked each side of the card with photos matted in various colors and also distressed. Embellishments were vibrant birds, butterflies, bees, and flowers from the Cardstock Stickers scattered all around the layout. Lastly, I added pops of yellow with enamel dots in three areas of the page to draw focus to the center!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you found some inspiration in this layout and want to try Paige's Spring is in the Air Cut File along with the Blooming Wild collection!
