Crafty Fiesta Retreat Recap

The first weekend in May I flew to Austin, Texas then drove to Round Top to teach at the Crafty Fiesta Retreat!
We've been planning this event since last fall and at last the weekend arrived!
Once again Amy did not want me to go. She and Sandy launched a protest lol. They know when the suitcases come out I'm leaving for a few days.
Bye Denver!
Hello Austin!
I rented a car then drove the quick hour through the beautiful countryside to Round Top, Texas where signs welcomed us to the Lone Star Glamp Inn!
I made it!
It's so pretty here. And so humid. Wow. Lol.
This place is soooooo unique! Pictures will never do it justice, you just have to go and see for yourself :)
These are the owners, Kaci & Sterling, some of the nicest people you'll ever meet!
From the website: Our indoor glampsite has all of the fun of camping, but it's definitely more like GLAMPING. We house 10 vintage glampers and 18 themed tents to sleep up to 56 people in two separate buildings, Glamp Inn and Glamp Inn Cadillac. Each unit is equipped with two twin beds, multi-plug outlets, lighting & fans. The restroom/shower facilities are centrally located, think bathhouse with private stalls, just steps away from your glamper or tent. Glampers are equipped with their own unique decor, outdoor seating area, mini-fridge and air conditioner. The tents are all fully furnished with a unique themes and a personality of their own. As our guest, you'll have access to multiple seating areas, a big screen tv, an outdoor grill, microwaves and Keurig coffee bars. And what would glamping be without A/C and WIFI?
Let's take a peek at this awesome place!
This is where breakfasts, lunches, and dinners were prepared and served.
Our lovely cook.

A bathroom.
That's the Glamp Inn Cadillac in a nutshell!
A quick walk across the parking lot back to the Glamp Inn.

This side has a lot of cute glampers.
As well as some tents.
I stayed in this adorable California Dreamin' camper.
Inside my cute & cozy glamper.
Some of the other campers.
Marilyn and her adorable camper.
One of the bathrooms.
It's all in the details!
We set up some sale tables and passed out kits before going to dinner.
We drove to The Stone Cellar for dinner - such a perfect sitting area outdoors.
I got a delicious burger.
We stopped for a slice of Texas Trash pie at Royers.
The rest of the evening was spent signing books and chatting!
All prepped and ready to teach!
Let the early bird shopping begin!
Hi friends!
This was my teaching desk set up.
I love seeing how everyone adapts the projects to fit their own style.
It's so fun to see old friends and make new ones!
Hey that's me!
All done with the layouts class!
For lunch we had yummy taco soup.
Cute custom cookies.
In the afternoon it was free time so everyone went shopping or stayed back to continue scrapping. Courtney taught an adorable stamped tag class.
I need a Courtney in my life! She's super organized and could do any task I asked with gusto!
Thanks to this group for inviting me to teach.
We wrapped up the first day with a bonus MemoryDex card and stitching page.
Night night!
Day 2 was just as fun! We had banana boats and hard boiled eggs for breakfast.
I taught a Disc Mini Album class in the morning and somehow didn't take any pics as I was walking around.
Courtney, Cheri, me, and Christiana.
In the evening a guest teacher taught a mini album class and we spent the rest of the day scrapping and chatting and eating and smiling! It was such a fun time!
I woke up super early to head back to Austin to fly back to Denver to spend a few days at home before flying out to Vegas - busy few weeks! I wouldn't have it any other way :)
For those who couldn't make it to the event - no worries! I'll be teaching my classes virtually on May 24th - sign up for the layouts class HERE and sign up for the mini album class HERE.
Hoping to teach again in Texas soon!!

  1. Thanks for sharing all your cute photos of the event! It's quite the place hey?! You'd really need ear plugs at night, so you couldn't hear me snore in the next tent, ha! Luckily Nadine snores too 😀 Such lovely bunkmates we'd be. It looks like it's a giant set up. The pom-poms and banners strung at the tents add to the festive vibe in such a cute way. I always thought it'd be fun to have a vintage camper, even though we aren't campers. They're just so cute dolled up. Excited to make your projected this Wednesday, see you there! 💗💛
