Happy International Scrapbook Day 2023!

Here is the layout I made for my challenge over in my Happy Scrappy Place Facebook Group which is to feature flowers! Handmade, fussy cut, paper, stickers - whatever, however - feature FLOWERS! All the details about the iNSD festivities happening in my FB group today are at the end of this post!

For my layout I used a petal punch (it's so super old I can't find it anywhere anymore, but HERE is a similar one) and punched about 4 or 5 of the larger petals from a variety of Blooming Wild patterned papers. I ended up with about 125 petals. Next I folded all the petals in half to give them texture and dimension. Rather than folding them one at a time, I stacked 4 together and folded them. Then I chose my background paper which is a mint floral from the exclusive Project Pad available at JoAnn stores. Such a pretty color! I measured the center at 6" in and 6" down and added a 4" round photo. 

Time to start building the flower! I tucked petals under the photo, glued them in place, then continued adding petals tucked underneath until the flower was as large as I liked - this is about 11". To embellish I cut a label sticker from the Sticker Book in half and tucked the halves under the left and right side of the photo before journaling on top with a pink pen. I placed silver holographic mini alpha stickers also from the Sticker Book around the bottom curve of the photo to make a title and placed a Mini Flower Puffy Sticker before, between the words, and at the end.

To finish, I folded the top right corner over and used a Tiny Attacher to staple it in place. I replaced the corner with a piece of pastel grid Paper 5 and then tucked a small piece of a mint scalloped border from the Sticker Book along the angled edge.
