I started by splattering white acrylic paint across Paper 24 for my background. Next I cut the Cool at the Pool from white cardstock at about 11.5 inches and backed it with papers from the Blooming Wild collection. Then I added hand stitching to the pool letters and in the corners of the page for added texture. Next a fun sprinkling of embellishments throughout include pieces from the Chipboard Stickers, Chipboard Rounds, Sticker Book, and Puffy Phrase Stickers. I wrote journaling with a white pen along the waves. Clear Nuvo Crystal Drops are the perfect finishing touch for a water-themed page. Fun Cricut technique: to pop my photo out from the “cool” letters I started by bringing my photo into Cricut Design Space and saving it as a print then cut. Then I positioned an extra copy of the cut file on top of my photo where I wanted the letters to cut, making sure to position my photo just right. When positioned, select the the photo and cut file together and slice the image and keep just the photo letters and discard the rest. Next, by using the print then cut feature, send to your printer, then place the print onto the cutting mat and have the letters cut out with your Cricut, adhere to your page with foam squares.
