I just couldn’t decide on a photo from this fabulous birthday trip to the Rocky Mountains and Canada’s iconic Jasper Park Lodge. So I made my entire background into a gallery. I made this photo mat in Silhouette Studio to hold 9 three inch square photos. The first mat was cut from white cardstock. To add some color and texture, I designed a second mat by offsetting the first mat in Silhouette Studio. It’s cut from Paper 11. Creating a gallery mat is an easy way to include plenty of holiday memories on your layouts. Did you notice the little birdie driving the station wagon? It’s from the Cardstock Stickers. I paper backed all the luggage and car with scraps and bits of Blooming Wild from many other previous projects. This cut file is an awesome way to scrap-bust! I loved the starry yellow Paper 20 used for the body of the car because my Mini Cooper is also sparkly gold (but a bit more subtle, ha). I made the title ‘Adventures’ with the Paige Font. I positioned the letters slightly overlapping so I could tuck it in beneath my funky car and they were welded together in Silhouette Studio. I cut the title twice from white cardstock, glued them together, and paper-backed the letters in a rainbow of scraps. Then I cut another title from Paper 5. The subtle pattern is a pretty alternative to white and adds a little more texture and color to my project. Finally, I added some butterflies fussy cut from Paper 16. I also added some Mini Flower Puffy Stickers here and there.
I hope this gives you some ideas about using multiple photos from your own summer adventures and inspires you to use the Station Wagon from the 24 Summer Cut Files along with Blooming Wild! See you again soon :)
