Hello friends, Kelly Daye here sharing a new Cut File Design Team layout made with Sugarplum Wishes and Paige's Nutcracker from the 25 Christmas Cut Files 2019.
I cut out the Nutcracker twice from white cardstock - I like how sturdy and chunky a cut file is when you glue two together. They’re paper-backed primarily with paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad and a minty snowflake card from the Boxed Cards. Did you know there’s extra patterns and colors in the Boxed Cards? All the ‘buttons’ on my jazzy Nutcrackers are Enamel Dots. I didn’t even use a whole package, you get so many. In one hand they’re each carrying loads of gifts. Candy, flowers and full stockings for Earl and Snowflake. They’re Anna’s elves on a shelf ! My Nutcrackers are also carrying a pretty ‘Merry Christmas’ swag found in the Ephemera Die Cuts. I topped it with a red foiled ribbon from the Cardstock Stickers and the sweetest little reindeer from the Mini Puffy Stickers. The background is the fabulous pink Paper 3. Green Paper 4 was so perfect as a contrasting border. I love how it reveals Christmas words like Holly Jolly, Ho Ho Ho, Believe In The Magic, and Sugarplum Wishes. To add a sparkly detail I chain stitched on a mix of sequins with gold metallic thread. The photo is tucked into the Christmas banner and topped with one of the cute Paper Clips from the Sugarplum Wishes collection. I actually put the charm on a shorter paperclip so it didn’t cover up Snowflake :) Nearby, I tucked in an index tab with Earl's name, both from the Sticker Book. Oh and tiny stars from the Cardstock Stickers. Finally, I dotted here and there with gold metallic paint and gold Stickers. It’s a no-brainer, I put them on everything, ha.
