Hello scrappy friends! Phil Donahue here and happy to be back on Paige's blog with a colorful snow day layout featuring Paige's Snow Much Fun! cut file along with her whimsical Sugarplum Wishes collection!
One of my favorite patterns is the lime green with multi-color stars Paper 10 which contrasted perfectly with the stark white and bright pink in the photos I wanted to document. This paper inspired much of the layout. The cut file backing was pretty standard using four different patterns from the 6x8 Paper Pad. After backing I added foam squares to the back of the cut file and photos then set them aside to begin working on my background. Normally I use patterned paper as my background but decided to switch things up by making a mixed media background! I created my background using pink, teal, and lime green Distress Oxides in one large cluster at the bottom right and one smaller cluster at the top left which would house the cut file and photos, respectively. Using a mixture of water spritzing and ink splatters along with snowflakes from the Acrylic Stamps, the background was complete! After inking, I added clusters of glitter snowflakes from the Floral & Snowflake Die Cuts then adhered the photos and cut file over top. Final touches were adding scatters of Enamel Dots, sequin clusters from the Acrylic Sweaters & Sequins, and colorful stars from the Foam Stickers which all added additional texture and interest to the page!
I hope you found some inspiration in this layout and try out Paige's Snow Much Fun! cut file along with her Sugarplum Wishes collection for all your wintertime crafting! Happy scrapping!!
