Hello friends! It’s Ashley Neu back for the Paige Evans Cut File Design Team to share my next project! Using Paige’s Blooming Wild collection, I created a double page spread to document 6 photos of our Halloween last year. I used two cut files for this 2 page layout, including the EEK cut file and the Candy Corn Background cut file.
As you can see, I went with a rainbow theme for this Halloween spread. I just love all of the colors and I wanted to use them all! We will start with the left page. After cutting the EEK cut file from black cardstock, I backed it with vellum. The first ‘e’ has a mummy look so I grabbed the 12x12 Paper Pad and backed random sections of the letter. I also backed the bat and pumpkin with patterned paper.
I adhered the cut file onto Paper 22 and added in 5 of my photos that were printed at 3x3”. The embellishing was rather simple: I grabbed a few sentiments from the Sticker Book and adhered them randomly around the layout. I also added in some letter stickers from my stash to add a fun element on top of the cut file.
For the right page, I cut the Candy Corn Background from black cardstock. To back the cut file, in Silhouette Studio, I simply released the compound path and only cut out the outline of the cut file from another piece of Paper 22. I adhered this slightly offset to give a fun shadow effect.
After adhering the Candy Corn Background onto white cardstock, I adhered the 4x6” photo onto the center of the layout. Again, the embellishing for this layout was very simple! I grabbed a word phrase and a heart border from the Ephemera Die Cuts as well as a phrase sticker from the Sticker Book.
Alright friends, that is how I put together this fun double page Halloween spread! I hope I have inspired you in some way! Thank you for stopping in and I hope you have a wonderful day!
