Hey friends, it’s Heather Rubert back on the blog! Are you feeling spooky yet? Before you pull out your holiday collections for some seasonal crafting, why not try making a Halloween page with a spring collection?! Today’s layout features Paige’s Happy Halloween from the 13 Halloween Cut Files. I paired it with the Blooming Wild collection for a bright, rainbow layout. Let’s get to it!
Like most of my layouts, I started by cutting the title from white cardstock. I knew I wanted to use the full rainbow of colors for this cut file, so I backed it with a variety of papers, which can all be found in the 12x12 Paper Pad the 6x8 Paper Pad. I also used a little bit of Paper 2 from Garden Shoppe to get just the right shade of orange for the pumpkin. Next, the background. To mimic the rainbow of colors in the title I used some watercolors and lots of water to create a faded rainbow behind the cut file. For even MORE rainbow, I trimmed down the white cardstock and layered it on top of Paper 22. To finish up, I added some tone-on-tone embellishments with elements from the Chipboard Stickers, Mini Flower Puffy Stickers, Cardstock Stickers, and more!
I hope this layout inspires you to make a Halloween layout with Blooming Wild and the Happy Halloween from the 13 Halloween Cut Files! Happy scrap-booo-king!
