Hi friends, it's Heidi Lewis back on the blog today to share a Halloween/Christmas mashup page. My husband and I have the tradition of putting up Halloween trees every year and doing a mashup page was the perfect way to document this Christmas crossover tradition.
I began this layout by cutting out the Witch Hat from the 13 Halloween Cut Files from textured purple cardstock and backed it with a variety of scrap papers from Blooming Wild and Sugarplum Wishes. Then I adhered the cut file with foam adhesive to a beautiful ombre paper from the Blooming Wild Project Pad. This background paper just screams Pasteloween! I tucked a 3x4" photo on one side of the hat and added a custom title using a combination of Mini Thickers and Thickers. I hooked a tree Paper Clip to my photo and layered tree Cardstock Stickers around the photo as well. Some Floral Die Cuts and Foam Stickers arranged around the page finish it off.
I typically work with a single collection or theme at a time, so I had fun working outside of my comfort zone with this layout. I hope this Halloween/Christmas mashup inspires you to combine Blooming Wild or Sugarplum Wishes (or both!) with a Halloween cut file!
