Apples & Falling Leaves Layout by Phil Donahue

Hello scrappy friends! Phil Donahue here back on Paige's blog with an autumnal layout featuring her Apple Bushel from the 20 Fall Cut Files cut file along with the beautiFALL Garden Shoppe collection. For this layout, I wanted to feature a cute picture of my niece sampling the fruits of her labor after a fun fall day of apple picking!
To begin, I cut the Apple Bushel from white cardstock then I backed portions of the pale with a rainbow of colors from Paper 4. I backed the leaves with Paper 6 - the watercolor leaves perfectly echoed the rainbow of colors from the pale. Other elements of the cut file were backed with woodgrain paper and an ombre pink paper for the apples, both from my stash. I tore pieces of patterned paper used to back the cut file and added them to the left side of Paper 5 which serves as my background. I adhered the photo above the strips of torn paper and the cut file next to it, elevated with adhesive foam. I used the Thickers and an element from the Foam Phrase Stickers to create my title, placed in the top right corner of the layout. I embellished with die cut leaves using scraps from the strips of patterned paper and white cardstock along with foam leaves from the Foam Phrase Stickers. Lastly, I added clusters of yellow enamel dots and splatters of gold paint in areas of embellishments to complete the layout.
I hope you found some inspiration in this layout and choose to try out Paige's Apple Bushel cut file along with her Garden Shoppe collection! Thanks for reading and have a happy, scrappy day!
