Blizzard Layout by Phil Donahue

Hello scrappy friends! Phil Donahue here back with another wintertime layout featuring Paige's Blizzard Cut File along with her wonderful Sugarplum Wishes collection! For this page I wanted to document photos of my niece playing in the snow for one of the first times in her life!
To begin, I cut out the Blizzard title from textured teal cardstock. Then I backed it with the pink stripe side of Paper 11 because the shades of pink made the gloves she was wearing in the photos pop! After backing I knew I wanted to predominantly feature Paper 9 which has a flurry of colorful snowflakes that reflected the theme of the layout perfectly! I cut that paper to 11x11 and adhered it to the aqua and teal plaid side of Paper 3 in a diamond shape. Then I placed the cut file and vellum-backed photos directly in the center of the page - elevating the cut file with foam squares to create more dimension. Because of the use of many patterns, I wanted to keep embellishments super simple so I added snowflakes from the Sticker Book, Foam Stickers, and Cardstock Stickers on the top left and bottom right corners of the layout. Final touches were various shades of pink enamel dots from my stash and splatters of white acrylic paint in the areas of embellishments!
I hope you found some inspiration in this layout and choose to try out Paige's Blizzard Cut File along with her Sugarplum Wishes this season! Happy scrapping!!
