November 2023 Highlights

Here's what we were up to in November 2023!
Park Meadows put up their Christmas decorations in early November and most people followed suit, us included ;)
After a few years Jane got her hair cut again. It's much more manageable now!
We went to Tom & Margi's for dinner on Sunday evening. Chris found these pre-made crème brûlée jars at Costco to bring for dessert but they weren't very good lol. Oh well!
KOSI 101.1 changed to all Christmas music! Time to use my little pink radio again!
I brought in my flowers from outside. The hibiscus bloomed at the beginning of November and again at the end! I love it so much.
I taught at the Crop & Create Holiday Delivered 2023 virtual event! When I found this ugly sweater at Target the day before I knew I had to wear it while teaching.
And a few more selfies from throughout the month cuz why not. Apparently I like pink.
Thanksgiving morning we woke up early to watch the parade and start baking! I spy two kitties.
Every year I love this holiday more & more. I found a cute turkey plate at Target for 75% off so it was like $2! Score! I attempted to make my very first pie and very first raspberry cobbler. I am a messy baker lol. The raspberry cobbler turned out delicious! The apple pie was a disaster. Next year I'll try something simpler :) Tom & Margi came over and Chris made a delicious dinner we he prepared and served on Grandma Cathie's beautiful gold-rimmed dishes. After dinner we went and saw the new Wish movie in the theater and came back home to eat dessert. It was a lovely Thanksgiving 2023!
The day after Thanksgiving we finished putting up the rest of the Christmas decorations. I put Fox & Jane in charge of putting ornaments on the colorful trees. I thought they'd rush right through but Jane really put thought and effort into it! She put red and gold on the gold tree, blue/aqua/mint on the mint tree, pink on pink, so on and so forth! My little artist :)
Sandy & Amy thought the little ornaments were toys so we took them off after only a day lol. And now Sandy thinks this tree is her play toy! Our kitties are on the naughty list for sure :)
Doing homework.
We saw 3 movies in the theater in November: The Marsh King's Daughter (I didn't take a pic, but it was pretty good!), Trolls Band Together (cute!):
And Wish (I really liked it!)

Amy and Sandy are my constant kitty companions. It's a rare thing for them to snuggle like this so I always take a photo - pic or it didn't happen!
I love them, and they love me :)
Do your cats immediately go under the Christmas tree the second it goes up? All the cats I've ever had have done this!
My girls!
Amy climbs up the tree...
More Amy throughout November.
And Sandy. Oh Sandy.
She's somethin' :)
'Tis the season!

As things have been winding down for the year I'm finally getting around to creating passion projects! First up, a coptic book made with Sugarplum Wishes.
And now I'm working on Sugarplum Wishes MemoryDex cards. I'll share them here as soon as they're finished :)
Today is the official start of the December Daily project!
11 years of Christmas memories are held in these December Daily albums. My first one was made for Two Peas in a Bucket in 2012 (remember them?!), I skipped 2013, and then have made one every year since 2014. I am now planning to go back and document 2013 in the Traditional Christmas 4x4 Sequin Album. It was our first Christmas in Germany and we have so many beautiful pictures and memories that deserve to be beautifully told and shared.
Here's to a magical Christmas season!!

  1. Hi hi Paige! I've finally made my way to your recap, which I always enjoy. I love all the kitty photos so much. I laughed out loud at Sandys pose in bed 🤣 The first photo of her amongst your pretty mini trees must be scrapped, it's so perfect. Honestly though, Amy is the prettiest little thing. She has the sweetest little face and yes, our kitty's love to be under the tree too. I don't have a real tree skirt but use a vintage, white chenille bead spread under the tree. I'm going for the drifted snow look, ha! So by the end of the holidays, it's a hairy mess. Your home looks so festive and welcoming, what a huge job getting it all together and then taking it all down too. You look adorable in your Target sweater and I don't think it's ugly at all :) Man I wish we had Target. Ramie actually did some ornament shopping for me there and mailed them, LOL. I'd be there every week if I could. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas! Hugs K
