Hi friends, it’s Kelly Daye here with a layout using the Seed Packets from the 20 Spring Cut Files and both the Blooming Wild and Splendid collections which are perfect for your spring projects!
I cut the Seed Packets from white cardstock then once paper-backed, I added a white frame around each seed pack and chain stitched with all 6 strands of DMC Floss. I added a wide border at the bottom of the layout using Blooming Wild Paper 7. I made a curved channel in the border and placed my title there using the Splendid Mini Foam Thickers. I also chain stitched both sides of the title. To give the white cardstock background on the top portion of my layout a little texture, I added Paige’s Doily Cut File, also cut from white cardstock. This white on white technique is subtle and doesn’t compete with everything else on the page. One of my favorite things to do on a layout is make a pretty collage with all-the-things. Including a vase from the Floral Die Cuts, Chipboard Stickers, Mini Flower Puffy Stickers, a bird from the Ephemera Die Cuts, a rainbow from the Cardstock Stickers, and a pink Chipboard Round surrounded by a round Chipboard Frame Sticker. Did you notice the stitched yellow circle with pink flowers in the collage? Cute hey?! It’s actually the backing to the letter O from the Chipboard Alphabet Outlines. There are some cool patterns in there that you won’t see in the other patterned papers like the pink starry frame around the petunia seed pack - it’s actually the back of one of the Blooming Wild Boxed Cards. Look to these products for unique papers that help personalize your layouts!
I hope you feel inspired to scrap your own spring moments with Paige’s 20 Spring Cut Files and pretty collections like Blooming Wild and Splendid! I can’t wait for the garden stores to open again for the spring season!
