Spring Layout by Monique Lowe

Hi creative friends! Monique Lowe here sharing my first layout for the Paige Evans Cut File Design Team! My page includes a large Spring Title from the 20 Spring Cut Files as well as the Daisy Halves Cut File. I’ve brought them to life using the Blooming Wild collection and hints of Bloom Street.
I wanted to create something colorful and filled with springtime joy to document our DIY garden renovation from a few years ago. First, I cut both designs from white cardstock then backed the title with a rainbow of patterned papers. To help the cut files pop I added chain stitching in coordinating colors to some of the text, as well as doodled lines using a black fine tip pen. For the background, I blended a variety of Distress Oxides to match my title then dabbed the background with water to create a faux watercolor effect. I backed my photos with torn vellum and matching patterned papers. To embellish, I fussy cut butterflies from Paper 16. Finally, I tucked in a few stamped tabs from the Sticker Book, added some sparkly gems, a few confetti flowers, and French knots to the cut file daisies.
This page fills me with joy! I hope you feel inspired to get creative documenting your Spring memories with the 20 Spring Cut Files and Blooming Wild too! Thanks so much for stopping by!
