Hello scrappy friends! Phil Donahue here and I'm happy to be back on Paige's blog with a fun layout using her A Little Dirt Never Hurt cut file along with the colorful Splendid collection! This cut file was a perfect fit to feature a photo of my niece at daycare learning about gardening.
To begin, I cut the A Little Dirt Never Hurt from the yellow side of Paper 5. Next, I backed the top and bottom portions with the floral Paper 1. After, I backed the large "DIRT" portion with a brown polka dot and blue cloud paper from my stash to create a landscape scene within the word. I disassembled the Layered Bouquet Stickers to embellish the cut file. I created my background using torn strips of Paper 20 and both sides of Paper 10. Next, I stenciled and splattered Distress Oxides in areas I'd later use to embellish and place the photo. I also stamped leaves and flowers using the Acrylic Stamp Set. I adhered the photo and cut file using foam adhesive to add more depth and dimension to the page. Final embellishments were floral elements from the Flower Die Cuts which perfectly fit the gardening theme. I hope you found some inspiration in this layout and choose to try Paige's A Little Dirt Never Hurt cut file along with her vibrant Splendid collection! Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!
