Hello friends! It’s Ashley Neu here for the Paige Evans Cut File Design Team! I hope you are enjoying your summer. We have officially been out of school for almost 2 weeks and it seems like it’s already flying by! I love to take photos of my girls on the last day of school to see just how much they’ve grown over the school year. The Summer Title from the 24 Summer Cut Files was perfect to document these photos. I used the Blooming Wild collection to create a bright and sunny layout.
After cutting the Summer Title from white cardstock, I backed it with patterned papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad. I grabbed Paper 3 to cut a large circle to represent the sun. This was the perfect place for the backed cut file to be and really helped create a focal point on the layout. To “ground” the cut file onto the circle, I used 2 border strips cut from Paper 1. This patterned paper has so many useful pieces to use on a layout. I added my photos printed at 2x2.5” and tucked in some fussy cut flowers from Paper 2. It wasn’t until the end of the process of putting this layout together that I decided to add the words “READY FOR” to finish off the title. I used the Thickers from the collection - they are so fun with their two-toned colors and small stitched details. Lastly, I added Pops of Color drops in the colors Sunshine, Orange Creamsicle, and Flamingo to match the sun! Thank you so much for stopping by Paige’s blog today.
