Flower Wreath Layout by Valerie Bisson

Hi friends! Valerie Bisson here and I’m so happy to be back again to share another layout with you. My page features two cut files - the Leaf Wreath and the Flower Wreath combined with a mix of Paige’s collections.
I love wreath cut files because they work for so many different occasions including my photo on grad day celebrations. I cut the Flower Wreath from white cardstock and backed it with Paper 8 and Paper 24 from Splendid. The Leaf Wreath was cut from Bungalow Lane Paper 5. To fill the center space of the wreaths I added a circle shape of Paper 1 from Garden Shoppe. Before adhering the cut files to the page I added some Distress Oxides using an ink blending brush in the area around where the wreaths would lay over top. I also added some stenciled hearts and paint splatters in blue and white on top of the ink blended area. The mixed media background gives a nice base to put everything on top of. After adhering the cut files I also machine stitched on top of the wreath in a circle using light green thread. Next I chose to add the flower shaped Sequins from Splendid which were a nice match to the colors I was already using. I attached them with French knots in a blue thread. A few Floral Die Cuts from Blooming Wild and a Layered Bouquet Sticker from Splendid all tucked at the bottom and left of the photo. For my title I used a Puffy Phrase Sticker from Blooming Wild - it came in a light green and seemed to get lost in my placement, so I colored it with a permanent marker in a coordinating color to my layout. The last thing I added to my page was a little hand stitching for another pop of that color in my daughter's dress. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful & creative day!
