Hi friends, it's Heidi Lewis back on the blog today. I live in the USA and just finished celebrating our national holiday, the Fourth of July, so I felt inspired to make an Americana-themed layout using Paige's new Adventurous collection!
I pulled several red and blue papers from the collection and cut out six 4-inch stars with stitching holes using the star from the Simple Shapes for Stitching cut file. I used the following papers for the stars: Paper 2, Paper 4, Paper 11, Paper 12, and the 12x12 Project Pad. I chain stitched each star with matching thread. Using Paper 10 as my background, I arranged the stars around a 3x4 picture of me holding a cup of festive lemonade. Then I layered tone-on-tone embellishments onto the stars using a combination of Mini Thickers, Puffy Phrase Stickers, the 8-Page Sticker Book, Floral Die Cuts, and Mini Puffy Stickers. A couple of paper-punched stars and some additional embellishments layered around the photo finish off the page. This layout would work well for any Fourth of July photos, but I think it could easily be adapted for starry nights (camping), all stars (friends and family), super stars (sports), celebrations, parties, etc! I hope you feel inspired!
