Hi friends! Kelly Daye here sharing a colorful summer layout featuring Blooming Wild and Paige’s Splash Zone cut file. Is there anything more fun and refreshing on a hot summer day than splashing around in a lake, river, or if you're lucky enough, the ocean?! Even better if you can play fetch with a best fur-iend like Maggie!
The cut file and background are made with white cardstock. After backing the splashes, I chain stitched each with matching DMC thread. Did you notice there’s a photo in the letter ‘O’ of the shaker too? I cut all the photos and photo mats with a nested die set I have. Instead of paper-backing the title, 'Splash Zone', I decided to make it a shaker with sequins from my stash. All the backing pieces and the shaker were planned in Silhouette Design Studio. Visit my Cameo Tutorial on YouTube to learn how. I used the Chipboard Buttons to suggest water drops and fussy cut a few butterflies and teenie tiny flowers from Paper 16 to sprinkle around my layout. Have a happy summer friends! I hope you’re inspired to save your memories using Paige’s fun cut files and plenty of color from any or all of her pretty collections.
