You Color My World Layout by Phil Donahue

Hello scrappy friends! Phil Donahue here and I'm happy to be back on Paige's blog with a vibrant and colorful layout using her Paintbrush cut file, elements from her Blooming Wild collection, and lots of mixed media!
To begin, I sized, welded and copied the Paintbrush cut file three times in Cricut Design Space. I isolated each element using the contour tool so I could cut each from different papers. The bristles were cut from white cardstock, the handle from woodgrain paper, and the metal part from silver glitter paper - all from my stash. Next, I used a rainbow of Distress Oxides to paint the bristles portion of the cut file and sprayed it with silver glitter spritz. To create my background, I used the same Distress Oxides colors along with matching glitter spritz to paint all over Paper 5 in horizontal stripes. After drying, I trimmed about an inch from two sides to create an 11" square and matted it with a full 12x12" sheet of Paper 5 (which was a gutted scrap I had from a previous project). Then, I found a strip of the rainbow woodgrain Paper 4 from Garden Shoppe collection to add a 2" border on the left side of the page which perfectly tied in the colors from the mixed media and the woodgrain texture from the cut file! I created my title with a mixture of Thickers from my stash and embellished the page with florals, rainbows, and holographic silver elements from the Cardstock Stickers and Chipboard Stickers. I hope you found some inspiration in this layout and choose to try Paige's Paintbrush cut file along with her Blooming Wild collection! Thanks for reading and have a lovely day!
