Hi friends! Inessa Persekian here with a new layout featuring Paige's new Tricks & Treats collection and her Spiderweb from the 13 Halloween Cut Files! I wanted to create a layout that feels spooky yet fun and here’s how I made it happen!
I began by cutting the Spiderweb from Paper 4. The web is such a showstopper that I placed it front and center on a white cardstock background, allowing it to stand out. I added dimension to the cut file by popping it up with foam adhesive to give the layout a three-dimensional look - it's almost like the web is coming off the page! To bring in some pops of color, I backed portions of the spider web with Paper 3 and Paper 6. I framed the picture with Paper 3 and layered several pieces from the Ephemera Die Cuts and Floral Die Cuts to add interest. The little label "spooky" and the "EEK!" title from the Puffy Phrase Thickers gives off just the right Halloween vibes. To finish the layout, I added various embellishments - some paper moths from the Floral Die Cuts, Enamel Dots in coordinating colors, and a hand stitched thread dangling the spider from the cut file. I also splattered black ink across the white background for a subtle, messy look. The entire layout is bordered with Paper 10, grounding the design. Thanks for looking and have fun scrapping those spooky memories with Paige's Tricks & Treats collection and her Halloween cut files!
