Hocus Pocus Layout by Jackie Ashton

Thursday, October 31, 2024

HAPPY HALLOWEEN scrappy friends! It’s Jackie Ashton here sharing a new layout using Paige's Tricks & Treats collection and her Borders from the 20 Halloween Cut Files!
I cut the Borders from white cardstock and chose 3 of them for my layout, coloring them using various inks. I chose the purple Paper 3 as my background paper and I rolled the top left corner over then added a piece of Paper 8 behind the rolled edge to complete the 12x12 size. Adding a selection of patterned papers behind my photograph, I placed my photographs on the center of the layout and added the web border to the top of the photos and the border of potion bottles along the lower edge of photographs. I then cut apart the pumpkins border and stacked them underneath my photograph to form a cluster. After adding two of the tags from Paper 2 to the top of layout, I finished by using various embellishments from the Cardstock Stickers, Ephemera Die Cuts, Puffy Phrase Stickers, and Enamel Dots. Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you're inspired to use Paige's Tricks & Treats collection and Halloween Cut Files!

Trunk or Treat Fun Layout by Inessa Persekia

Wednesday, October 30, 2024

Hey friends, it's Inessa Persekian again! I’m thrilled to share a new layout featuring the Bat Background from the 13 Halloween Cut Files! I paired it with her vibrant Tricks & Treats collection to create a playful page that’s perfect for documenting Halloween memories.
White cardstock sets the perfect backdrop for all the Bats flying across the page. I backed the Bats with Tricks & Treats patterned paper scraps to make the design pop against the background.  For dimension and detail, I used Mini Foam Thickers to create a title, while the Polaroid frames from the 12x12 Foam Stickers draw your eye to the photos. Enamel Dots, candy corn and starbursts from the 12x12 Foam Stickers sprinkled throughout add a fun, finishing touch. This layout was so fun to make and it came together quickly thanks to the Bat Background! Happy crafting with Paige's Tricks & Treats collection and her Halloween Cut Files!

Spooky Treat Layout by Heidi Lewis

Tuesday, October 29, 2024

Hi friends! It's Heidi Lewis here on the blog today sharing a colorful Halloween layout paired with Paige's Tricks & Treats collection and her Spiderweb from the 13 Halloween Cut Files!
I used my Cricut to cut the Spiderweb from white cardstock and backed it with a single piece of vellum. I picked a bold teal cardstock background to match the color of my husband's shirt in the photo. I centered the spiderweb on the background and layered a row of tags fussy cut from Paper 2 on the left-hand side. I added two 3x4" photos and one 2x2" photo over the spiderweb and then layered Ephemera Die Cuts and Floral Die Cuts around my photos. I splashed watered down white acrylic paint around the spiderweb and scattered stars from the Mini Puffy Stickers around the outside of the spiderweb. I created a journaling embellishment cluster over the right-hand corner with a journaling tag from the Ephemera Die Cuts, Cardstock Stickers, Washi Tape, Mini Puffy Stickers, and Mini Foam Thickers. Some tangles of white thread finish off the layout. I hope you feel inspired to make a colorful and spooky layout with the Tricks & Treats collection and Paige's Halloween Cut Files!

Let's Go Ghouls Layout by Inessa Persekian

Monday, October 28, 2024

Hey crafty friends! It’s Inessa Persekian here and I’m eekcited to share the creative process behind a fun and vibrant Halloween layout using Paige’s Branch Wreath from the 13 Halloween Cut Files paired with the playful Tricks & Treats collection.
Wreath designs are always a favorite of mine and the Branch Wreath provides the perfect base for a circular composition that’s both eye-catching and versatile. I wanted to create something that felt pretty and cozy. I began by cutting out the Branch Wreath from white cardstock to allow the colorful flowers from the Tricks & Treats collection to really pop. I love how white helps highlight all the beautiful patterns and colors in the collection. For the background I used white cardstock and added a touch of mixed media with black ink splatters, creating a playful backdrop that hints at Halloween fun without being too spooky. I added pumpkins and flowers from the Floral Die Cuts and Ephemera Die Cuts and other fun embellishments from the collection around the wreath. I also tucked in extra leaves and branches to make the layout feel more natural and full. I placed my 4x4 photo right in the center, slightly overlapping the floral elements for a cohesive look. For the title, I opted for the phrase “Let’s Go Ghouls,” from the Puffy Phrase Stickers to pop against the background. To finish off the layout, I scattered Sequins around the wreath, adding just the right amount of sparkle. I love how the shimmer brings the whole design to life. Happy crafting with Paige's Tricks & Treats collection and her Halloween Cut Files!

Witch Feet Layout by Audrey Mutschall

Saturday, October 26, 2024

Hello friends! Audrey Mutschall here with a new layout featuring Paige’s Witch Feet cut file and her Tricks & Treats collection!
I’m having so much fun creating Halloween layouts this year and it’s all because of how adorable this collection is! I cut the Witch Feet design from black cardstock and backed it with Paper 1, Paper 2, Paper 7, Paper 9, Paper 10, and Paper 11. After the cut file was completed I got to work making a cute little skirt to accompany the Witch Feet - I cut a semicircle from the B-side of Paper 11 for the back of the skirt and a smaller semicircle from the A-side of Paper 11 for the front of the skirt. I used a striped piece of Washi Tape folded over on itself to make a dimensional ruffle that I glued along the edge of each piece of the skirt. Next I adhered the skirt to a piece of white cardstock and placed the cut file between the layers of the skirt. I embellished my photo with a frame and a title from the Ephemera Die Cuts and placed it on the left side of the page. Lastly, I embellished the background with fussy cut flowers from Paper 1 and Enamel Dots. I had so much fun creating this and I hope you're inspired to check out Paige’s Cut Files and Tricks & Treats!

Sweet & Spooky Layout by Ashley Neu

Thursday, October 24, 2024

Hi friends! It’s Ashley Neu here for the Paige Evans Cut File Design Team to share this monochromatic layout using Paige’s Tricks & Treats collection and her Spiders cut file. This layout was different for me as I don’t believe that I have ever created an all black and white layout before! It just seemed so appropriate for Halloween and Paige’s Tricks & Treats collection was perfect to accomplish this.
To begin, I cut the Spiders from black cardstock and adhered it onto Paper 12. Originally I planned on stitching the spiders but after poking all of the stitching holes, I decided that I loved the texture that the holes gave the spiders! Not only did it save me time, it was something different! I matted Paper 12 with the same black cardstock. My photos were printed in black & white and matted with a white border to help set them apart from the background. To make the Spiders even more cool, I glued on clear/white sequins. I added in the "Sweet & Spooky" title found in the Puffy Phrase Thickers and black and white embellishments from the Ephemera Die Cuts. The skeletons are my favorite pieces that I added to the layout. If you haven’t tried a monochromatic layout yet, you totally should! Thank you for stopping by Paige’s blog today and have a great day!

Halloween Layout by Yui Oku

Wednesday, October 23, 2024

Hi everyone! It’s Yui Oku here sharing a grid layout using Paige's Tricks & Treats collection and the Monsters and Candy from the 13 Halloween Cut Files!
I felt like making a grid layout and needed small icons so I chose a Monster and Candy from the 13 Halloween Cut Files and cut them from white cardstock. I used purple cardstock for background and added Washi Tape strips to make the grid. I used papers 3, 9, and 10 for backing the cut files. Paper 9 has a lot of good distressed colors. For the center of blocks, I put the "HALLOWEEN" ephemera from Embroidery Kit. I chose black thread for all the letters. And added small cute icons from the Mini Puffy Stickers. I added photos and then for the rest of blocks I chose pumpkins, a skeleton, and house die cuts, enamel dots, and cardstock stickers. It was so fun to make it and love the result! I hope you are inspired to try the Monsters and Candy from the 13 Halloween Cut Files and check out Paige's Tricks & Treats collection!

Happy Halloween Layout by Valerie Bisson

Tuesday, October 22, 2024

Hi friends! Valerie Bisson here today and I’m so happy to be here sharing a new Halloween layout with you featuring Paige's Tricks & Treats collection and her Happy Halloween Title from the 13 Halloween Cut Files.
Going through my photos I found some of my daughter dressed in a cute cat costume for school on Halloween. I started with the Happy Halloween Title cut from gray cardstock and then backed it using several of the patterned papers from ricks & Treats. To make the cut file stand out a little more I added an offset layer in black cardstock. Next I chose my background papers, first Paper 5 to which I added silver paint splatters and some torn segments to look like cat scratches. Then Paper 11 which I cut at 8.5” square and hand stitched around the edge in a blanket stitch. I added the cut file on the lower third of the page using foam squares to pop it up. Next I picked the frames from the Ephemera Die Cuts for my photos and then tucked them in to the top of the cut file. I added the year below the cut file with the Mini Foam Thickers. Lastly, I added pieces from the Floral Die Cuts, Cardstock Stickers, 12x12 Foam Stickers, and a few Enamel Dots throughout the layout. I hope you’re inspired to create with one of the 13 Halloween Cut Files and some Tricks & Treats!

Boo! Beware! Eek! Layout by Phil Donahue

Saturday, October 19, 2024

Hello spooky & scrappy friends! Phil Donahue here back on Paige's blog with a scary cute layout featuring her Tricks & Treats collection and the BOO! BEWARE! EEK! titles from the 20 Halloween Cut Files! This page uses the cut file as a large title which highlights a few photos of my niece scaring up the town.
I created the main background by placing an 11" square from Paper 5 over the full 12x12 Paper 9. I added purple glitter spray and splatters of Villainous Potion Distress Oxides in a diagonal direction from the top left to bottom right corner of Paper 5. Next, I cut 3x12 strips from the black side of Paper 4 and the striped side of Paper 8. I scored each with lines of about a quarter-inch wide and folded them to create an accordion effect. After, I cut the words from the cut file out of the same patterns to be placed on contrasting accordion strips. I adhered the strips and each word over top, following the diagonal of the mixed media. I love that the strips are a simple way to create a fun texture and added dimension to any layout! I added my photos on opposite sides of the diagonal then embellished with Foam Stickers, Puffy Phrase Thickers, and Washi Tape to complete the layout! I hope you found some inspiration in and choose to try Paige's Tricks & Treats collection along with her 20 Halloween Cut Files! Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!

Hey There Pumpkin Layout by Monique Lowe

Thursday, October 17, 2024

Hello creative friends! It’s Monique Lowe here with some pretty pumpkins adorning a new Halloween-themed layout. I am loving using Paige’s Tricks & Treats collection for all things Halloween & Autumn and found the perfect Pumpkins from the 20 Halloween Cut Files.
The cute Pumpkins were my starting point. I picked Paper 2, Paper 3, Paper 7, and Paper 9 to back the cut file for a mix of colors and subtle patterns and used Paper 4 for the stalks. I selected Paper 12 for my background and, just like my last layout, I prepped my page with a coat of clear gesso. I followed this with a thin layer of white gesso to soften the background slightly. I placed the Pumpkins in the middle of the page and painted some shimmery watercolors in coordinating shades around them and extended the paint down my page a bit. I backed both photos with vellum and Paper 11 and stuck them down in place. I wanted to create a diagonal of embellishments and started off by tearing my background open at the top left of the page. I stuck a piece of Paper 1 in this opening with beautiful florals peeking out. I used the Floral Die cuts as well as fussy cut florals from Paper 1 and tucked them in around the pumpkins, across and down towards the bottom right of my layout. I added some glittery sparkle to the center of each flower and tucked in a few clusters of thread for texture. I finished off my layout with a title using Mini Foam Thickers, along with the Puffy Phrase Stickers and a scattering of Enamel Dots, Mini Puffy Stickers, and fussy cut moths. Thank you so much for popping by to take a peek! I hope you find a happy moment to get creative with Tricks & Treats and the 20 Halloween Cut Files!

Magical Spooktacular Layout by Kelly Daye

Wednesday, October 16, 2024

Hi friends! Kelly Daye here with another fun layout created with Paige’s awesome Tricks & Treats collection and her Cut and Fold Bat Background cut file!
I wanted lots of bats so I shrank the Cut and Fold Bat Background cut file to 4.20 inches to repeat it around the page. After centering the bats in the file, I added a scallop around the edge and cut it from Paper 12. These types of files are a fun way to reveal both sides of the patterned paper! It’s popped up with foam squares over colorful Paper 9. I love that so many colors from the collection peek through! Since I had the scalloped edge of Paper 1 left, I flipped it over and used the floral side as a border on the background. Still not done, ha! I chain stitched around the scallop, adding sequins from my stash on every stitch. Sparkle and shine!! Now for the main event! I cut Paige’s Sugar Skull Half from black cardstock twice and glued them together. I like the chunky depth it gives to the file. I backed it with papers from Tricks & Treats and added my own four-year-old face as the other side of the Sugar Skull Half, LOL. In the little vignettes around the skull, you’ll find; Floral Ephemera, Mini Puffy Stickers, Journaling Ephemera, Icon Ephemera, Foam Stickers, Cardstock Stickers, Washi Tape and Enamel Dots. My title was made with Phrase Thickers and for fun, I added some Mini Puffy Stickers. Letter A in MAGICAL is wearing a tiny witch hat, hehe. I hope you found some cute ideas for your own very scary Halloween projects. Find lots more Halloween inspiration right here and here!

Tuesday, October 15, 2024

Hi scrappy friends! It’s Jackie Ashton here sharing a new layout using Paige's Tricks & Treats collection and her Pumpkins from the 20 Halloween Cut Files!
I started by cutting the Pumpkins from white cardstock, backed it with Paper 7 and Paper 9, and added foam squares for dimension. Before adding the cut file, I did some stenciling on the background using a stencil from my stash. I added a few layers of patterned papers behind my 3x4" photographs, overlapping them slightly, and added them to the top of my layout. I cut a tag from Paper 2 and added it to the bottom right of the cut file. I finished by embellishing my layout using Cardstock Stickers, Ephemera Die Cuts, Enamel Dots, and the ‘"Happy Halloween"’ title from the Puffy Phrase Thickers. Thanks so much for stopping by! Haunted House Layout by Inessa Persekian

Monday, October 14, 2024

Hey crafty friends! Inessa Persekian here with a new layout! With Halloween right around the corner, I’m diving into all things spooky and fun! Today I want to share a hauntingly fabulous project I’ve been working on using Paige’s Haunted House from the 13 Halloween Cut Files, perfectly paired with her vibrant and playful Tricks & Treats collection.
This layout was SO much fun to create and it adds just the right amount of spookiness to my Halloween scrapbook spread. Whether you’re a fan of the cutesy side of Halloween or love a little edge to your crafts, this project is sure to inspire you! First, I cut the Haunted House out of white cardstock. Paige’s Tricks & Treats collection is bursting with fun Halloween vibes - think candy corn, pumpkins, ghosts, and all the festive colors like orange, purple, pink, and teal! I chose a mix of patterned papers to back the cut file, starting with the windows and working outward. For my background I used Paper 12 and cut out a 1/2 inch border. I layered it on top of Paper 9. The house is mounted with foam tape for dimension. I added my 3x4" photos and a mix of ephemera to finish the layout. I love the bats and little details like the candy corn wreath over the window. Whether you’re new to backing cut files or a seasoned pro, this project is sure to bring the Halloween spirit to your scrapbook! Plus, it’s such a great way to use up those fun, spooky papers from your stash! Happy haunting and crafting with Paige's Tricks & Treats collection and her Halloween Cut Files!

Paper Woven Pumpkin Layout by Heidi Lewis

Thursday, October 10, 2024

Hi friends! It's Heidi Lewis here back on the blog to share a Falloween layout made with the Tricks & Treats collection which is so BOOtiful that I wanted to make a layout showcasing all of the pretty papers!
I cut the Geometric Pumpkin out of white cardstock and set the cut file aside to use on another project because I only needed the pumpkin outline for my background. Then I wove together half-inch strips of the following papers: Paper 1, Paper 4, Paper 8, Paper 9, Paper 11, and Paper 12. I placed the woven background behind the open pumpkin and machine stitched around the edge of the entire layout to hold everything together. I adhered three 2x3" photos of a trip to our local pumpkin patch onto a single sheet of white paper and layered the photo strip over the pumpkin. I leaned into the pumpkin theme of the layout by adding additional pumpkin embellishments including Floral Die Cuts, Embroidered Pumpkins, 12x12 Foam Stickers, Mini Puffy Stickers, and Ephemera Die Cuts. I created a custom title using a combination of Mini Foam Thickers and Puffy Phrase Thickers. The title is grounded on a Washi Tape border. I finished off the layout with a few orange watercolor splatters. I love the burst of color and pattern represented by this woven pumpkin layout and hope you feel inspired by it!

Halloween Wreath Layout by Audrey Mutschall

Tuesday, October 8, 2024

Hello friends! Audrey Mutschall here with a new layout featuring Paige's Tricks & Treats collection and her Branch Wreath from the 13 Halloween Cut Files!
I cut the Branch Wreath from black cardstock and then chose ghost Paper 6 for the background. I adhered the cut file in a few places using foam tape and then got to work embellishing. The Tricks & Treats collection has so many adorable elements, it was hard to hold back and not completely cover the entire wreath with cute decorations! I started by choosing three elements from the Embroidery Kit and adding those to the wreath, because they are the largest embellishments I used. Next I added Ephemera Die Cuts, 12x12 Foam Stickers, Mini Puffy Stickers, and Enamel Dots around the wreath. Lastly, I matted my photos with orange Paper 9 and tucked them behind the wreath. I had so much fun decorating this spooky wreath using the Tricks & Treats collection, and I hope it inspires you to check out Paige’s Cut Files!

Wickedly Cute Layout by Paige Evans

Monday, October 7, 2024

Here is the finished layout that we made in today's Make With Me Monday featuring a wreath of origami patterned paper stars! I used my Tricks & Treats collection to make the star wreath and put a silly photo of Fox & Jane last Halloween season inside. I could have kept embellishing forever because there are soooo many bewitchingly CUTE icons in Tricks & Treats!!!
Start with 5" patterned paper squares and make a star from the A&B-sides of Paper 1, A&B-sides of Paper 3, A-side of Paper 4, A&B-sides of Paper 6, yellow B-side of Paper 7, A&B-sides of Paper 8, A-side of Paper 11, and B-side of Paper 12. Fair warning though, these are tough on the hands to make! Consider starting with larger squares and/or make fewer stars.

Here is the video for re-watching and you can find the Make With Me Monday playlist HERE. Be sure to give it a LIKE and subscribe :)
