Mickey Layout by Ashley Neu

Hi friends! It’s Ashley Neu here for the Paige Evans Cut File Design Team to share my next layout using the Tricks & Treats collection and two cut files! Because this layout is going in my daughter’s album who is wearing the Minnie Mouse costume in the photos, I used the Mickey Head for Stitching Cut File paired with the Spiderweb from the 13 Halloween Cut Files to give a spooky feel!
After cutting the Mickey Head for Stitching Cut File from Paper 11, I adhered it on to white cardstock. I used some embroidery floss that matched fairly close and did a running stitch. A tip for you if you want to save on both time and embroidery floss: adhere your photos down before stitching so you don’t have to stitch where those photos are. Because I wanted this Mickey to look more like a spooky Minnie Mouse, I added the Spiderweb and a bow that I made out of Paper 7. My title came from the Puffy Phrase Thickers and the embellishments came from the Cardstock Stickers, Floral Die Cuts and Ephemera Die Cuts. To bedazzle the spiderweb, I added a handful of the Enamel Dots. The floral Washi Tape is so pretty so I added it to the top and bottom of my layout with little stitched “X’s” made with embroidery floss. My favorite part of this layout is the little spider that is on top of the bow! Thank you so much for stopping by Paige’s blog today and have a wonderful day!
