Ready, Jet, Go! Layout by Paige Evans

Wednesday, March 5, 2025

Hey, hi, hello scrappy friends! Here is the final of the 4 layouts that I made with the Coast to Coast collection by American Crafts and you can find the instructions in my Coast to Coast Layouts Class PDF HERE.
I took Fox to his introduction to high school curriculum and he was quite overwhelmed. I remember that feeling! Honors classes, AP classes, sports options, choosing a job, learning how to drive - all the big life things that mean childhood is quickly disappearing. But, it's all so exciting and something to look forward to! I used a bunch of positive sentiments and icons that are semi-school-themed to help give Fox encouragement and let him know that we'll be with him every step of the way!
Additionally, this layout made with Coast to Coast is a scraplift of a layout I made also about Fox 10 years ago! You don't always have to reinvent the wheel - take the same design concept and change the collection and you get completely new and still fantastic results!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Let me know if you have any questions and I'd love for you to check out my Coast to Coast Layouts Class PDF with the instructions for four 12x12 layouts!

Love Heart Layout by Monique Lowe

Hi scrappy friends! Monique Lowe here with a monochrome layout to share! Today’s layout was made as a gift for a lovely relative who recently lost her soulmate.
I’ve carefully chosen colors that I thought she would like rather than my usual bold color palette. Paige's Love Heart cut file was the perfect frame for these cherished photos and for the beautiful patterned papers I did a deep dive into my stash of Paige Evans supplies! My search took me all the way back to the Pick-Me-Up and Truly Grateful collections – both of which offered the perfect shades of green and blue. To start, I cut the Love Heart from Paper 20 from Truly Grateful. I used my piercing tool to add evenly spaced holes through the center of the word "love" followed by hand stitching in a slightly darker shade of embroidery thread. Using foam squares and liquid adhesive, I stuck this to down onto the background patterned paper. Next, I cut the photos into hearts, backed them and machine stitched around the edges, and nestled the main photo behind the cut file. For embellishments, I fussy cut butterflies from Paper 14 from Pick-Me-Up and pretty foliage form Paper 5 from Truly Grateful and used these to create three delicate clusters around the photos. To continue the love theme, I added a few hearts in various shades of blue and green using the reverse side of the scraps from the Love Heart cut file. Last but not least, I extended the title using Mini Foam Thickers and finished off my layout with some gold splatters. Thank you so much for joining me today and taking a look at my sentimental layout using the Love Heart cut file. I hope you feel inspired to document those precious people in your life too.

Oh Canada Layout by Kelly Daye

Tuesday, March 4, 2025

Hello scrappy friends, Kelly Daye here! For today's layout, I’m celebrating Canada - my home and native land, the true north, strong and free! These words are from our National Anthem. On this layout I’ve used three of Paige’s cut files plus one of my own which is free on my blog. I’ve used Paige’s Back This Font, Large Leaf, and Mandala cut files. I also used Paige’s happy and bright Blooming Wild collection.
The title, made with Paige's Back This Font cut file, and cut from white cardstock, was paper-backed with a number of classic Paige Evans collections from my stash. They’re all available from AC Digitals. I also created an outline for each letter with the Offset Tool in Silhouette (also available on your Cricut). For more texture, I backstitched with tone on tone DMC floss, using all 6 strands. Paige’s Large Leaf cut file was perfect to make our iconic maple leaves. I made two sizes, 1.5” and 2” so I could layer them for lots of texture. They’re cut from Blooming Wild papers 7, Paper 11, and Paper 24. Some small fussy cut butterflies also decorate the title, they’re from a paper in the Splendid 6x8 Paper Pad. I cut my free Geo Wreath cut file from white cardstock. I cropped Paige’s Mandala cut file with an outline of my cut file then layered both together and back-stitched the decorative frame with the same DMC floss as the title. I hope you’re inspired to use Paige’s collections and cut files to make something pretty today too!

Sunset Layout by Jackie Ashton

Monday, March 3, 2025

Hello friends! Jackie Ashton here with my next design team layout using Paige's Adventurous collection and her Sunset for Stitching cut file.
After cut the Sunset for Stitching cut file from white cardstock, I hand stitched each of the lines with yellow thread. I matted my 6x4" photo with different papers from the 6x8 paper pad then adhered it with foam tape on the lower part of my page. I kept the embellishment to a minimum and cut four of the tags from Paper 5 and added two of them to either side of my photograph, slightly overlapping them. I added waxed thread linking the tags together. I used the gold Mini Thickers for my title and placed them between the two sets of tags at the top of my photograph. To finish I used stickers from the Sticker Book and scattered sequins from my stash between each ray. Thanks for stopping by!

Strawberries Layout by Paige Evans

Saturday, March 1, 2025

Happy Saturday scrappy friends! Today I'm sharing another one of the layouts that I taught how to create with the Lovely Blooms collection at the Pinkfresh Studio May 2023 Create & Connect virtual event. The patterned paper with all the strawberries was just begging to be fussy cut :)
Use a piece of 12x12 light blue cardstock as the background. Fussy cut all the remaining full and mostly full strawberries, flowers, and leaves from the Little Wins paper. This takes quite some time, but is worth the results! Find the center of the background and draw a 6” circle with a pencil. Loosely place all the fussy cut pieces around the circle, starting with the largest pieces first and filling in the gaps with the smaller flowers and strawberries - don’t glue anything down yet.
Once you like the placement of everything, take a picture to refer back to in case things get moved around, flip the pieces over one at a time, add tiny foam squares on the backs, then attach them in place. Splatter watered down white acrylic paint in the center and speed up the drying time with a hair dryer. Adhere a 6 ½” round photo to the center then place Puffy Alpha Stickers around the curve of the photo to make the title. Layer two large Puffy Phrase Stickers across the bottom of the photo as a subtitle.
On the right side, add a blue tag Cardstock Sticker and a piece of the blue striped pocket envelope from the Journaling Bits with journaling written on top using a white pen. On the left side, add a torn strip of the green floral section from the top left side of the Choose Happy paper, also fussy cut the round “YAY” circle from that section to add on top, a little piece of green grid Start Somewhere paper, and a red sentiment Ephemera die cut. Finish by adding enamel dots in coordinating colors and round blue dots from the Puffy Alpha Stickers on and around the photo as shown.
Thanks for stopping by! Let me know if you have any questions and have a happy scrappy day!

February 2025 Highlights

Here's what we were up to in February, it was a calm month before the storm :) We have big plans for March through the end of the year.
The weather is either like 6 degrees or 62 degrees. Even when it's just 6 degrees, the sun makes it feel much warmer. I love Colorado.
We got a big enough snow storm to cancel school, Fox was thrilled.
We went to The Spaghetti Factory in Westminster for dinner one Saturday. Mmmm meat sauce + mizithra!
Driving past Denver.
Fox & Jane baked brownies.
I took a bath for the first time in our new tub. It was nice!
Our contractor that has done so many projects in our home hired a photographer to take pics which they shared on the gram. Kitchen.
Main floor bathroom.
Laundry room.
Entryway. I love color :)
Lunch date with Jane to Kneaders and enjoying the pistachio flavor of spumoni ice cream.
I chopped off about 10" of hair! Feeling fresh for turning 40 in May!
I've worked my way up to using 12 pound dumbbells during my exercise videos.
Not a whole lot happened in February which is so nice sometimes, especially as we gear up for busy months.

Time for Amy & Sandy pics! Oh to be a cat. Can you see them both in the photo below?
Amy has snuggled with me every single night since I got this Minky Couture blanket in Utah in November. It really is the best blanket in the world.
She loves the chin rubs, "helping" me with whatever I've doing, and exploring places she shouldn't :)
Sandy Mandy (or her newest nickname is Scamandy after that Hulu show Scamanda) is just such a cute floof.
She always seems to be everywhere and loves each of us equally.
I want to get 17 more cats :)

Onto the scrappiness! I shared 2 mini albums and nine 12x12 layouts in February. Click the links to see them in more detail:
I announced an Alaskan Cruise & Crop taking place in July 2026! Over half the spots have sold so sign up quickly!!!
I got Happy Haven samples in the mail! I still don't know if I'll receive my order after American Crafts announced they were bought by Notions earlier this week, but if I do receive it I'll put full collections in MY SHOP and you'll be the first to know!
Sneaks of upcoming layouts made with Happy Haven.
On February 1st I taught a virtual class from home showing how to fill miniature suitcases with mini albums. The class is still available HERE.
Some snapshots from my class.
The next few weeks were spent making my February kit & class with Woodland Grove! I love seeing all the pretty threads & trims.
Kitting day!
I spent a few days filming the Woodland Grove Mini Album Class which ended up being 3.5 hours long.
Lots going on here in preparation for release day.
The kits sold out in less than a week - THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I love scrapbooking and enjoy sharing my processes with you and hope to continue for a loooong loooong time!!
I mailed my dad a thank you card.
I finally did another Make With Me Monday showing how to create a Circle Accordion Mini Album.
Make With Me Monday typically lasts around an hour (since this was a whole mini album it took an hour and a half :), is free to watch, anyone in the world can join in the fun, and the videos are saved in my MWMM Playlist so if you can't join the live you can watch it later and/or watch it again!
An electronic cutting machine is not needed to create this mini album, however I have provided cut files as well as templates for printing to be able to make it by hand which I showed how to do during the live and those are all linked in the YouTube description of this Circle Accordion Mini Album
I popped in to JoAnn to purchase some of my Adventurous Card Making Kits.
So very sad and surreal that this might be the last time I'm ever in a JoAnn since all the stores are closing.
I've started on my March kit & class! It'll be a camera-shaped mini album in a handmade camera-shaped box and 12x12 layouts!
Pre-orders will open soon for these super duper freaking cute sequin albums handmade by Gi DeMello - my bestie in Brazil!
Now through March 8th 2025 enjoy 50% off all 110 single cut files AND all 28 cut file bundles in MY ONLINE SHOP!
Here's to an awesome March!! I'm flying to Omaha to teach at Spring Fling Weekend then we're going to Hawaii for Spring Break!!!
