Hello friends, Heidi Lewis here today and I am sharing a New Year's Eve layout inspired by a digital sketch. I chose Wonders for this layout because I was drawn to the festive-looking mandalas and paper rosettes.
I used the Uppercase Alphabet for Stitching to make the title using the following papers: C: B-side of paper 7, O: B-side of paper 1, U: B-side of paper 10, N: B-side of paper 14, T: B-side of paper 2, D: B-side of paper 15, O: B-side of paper 23, W: B-side of paper 4, N: B-side of paper 19. I did a chain stitch on each letter using coordinating DMC thread. Once the stitching was completed, I used a stencil from my stash to ink blend magic sparkles onto a smooth white background. I arranged the letters diagonally down the page and tucked in two 2x2 photos of me and my husband releasing wish lanterns on New Year's Eve. Last but not least, I layered all the festive things - mandalas, banners, hearts, and rosettes - around the letters and photos. Wishing you lots of happy scrappiness in the year to come!
