Frame & Flowers Layout by Audrey Mutschall

Thursday, March 13, 2025

Hello friends! Audrey Mutschall here with new layout featuring three cut files by Paige and her beautiful Adventurous collection. I’ve used Paige’s Frame, Layered Flower, and Rolled Flower cut files to document a photo from last summer when we visited Calgary, Alberta for a quick weekend getaway.
I absolutely love floral Paper 23 from the Adventurous collection and I wanted to use it in a fun and creative way. I started by cutting the Frame from white cardstock, backing it with an offset of turquoise Paper 21, and another offset of white cardstock. These layers help the cut file stand out against the busy floral background. I placed my photo behind the frame and then got to work embellishing the flowers on the background paper. I fussy cut some flowers from an extra sheet of cardstock in the 12x12 Project Pad and layered them on top. I also cut Rolled Flowers and Layered Flowers and placed them in the centers of some of the flowers. Lastly, I added Enamel Dots, a butterfly from the Ephemera Die Cuts, and a Charm.

Best Friends Layout by Ashley Neu

Wednesday, March 12, 2025

Hi friends! It’s Ashley Neu here for the Paige Evans Cut File Design Team to share my next project. Today’s layout is a fun one! It features Paige’s Blooming Wild collection, which I still absolutely love, as well as her Quilt Background cut file. I have created this design before using this exact cut file but I wanted to give it a go with Paige’s Blooming Wild collection and this beautiful rainbow sunburst paper.
To begin, I cut the Quilt Background from white cardstock. I laid the cut file over the Paper 22 so the center of the sunburst was lined up where I wanted the top of the heart design to be. I traced this lovely geometric heart shape out using the quilt design as the guidelines. Next, I cut said heart out and adhered it to the Quilt Background cut file. Paper 14 was just so perfect to layer behind this cut file so I did just that and matted it with Paper 19. I added my 2 photos, a title from the Puffy Phrase Stickers layered on a Journaling Card, some Florals around the photos and at the top of the heart, and a sentiment sticker as well. I finished off the layout with 3 tiny puffy hearts also found in the Puffy Phrase Stickers. Thank you for stopping by Paige’s blog today. I hope you have been inspired by this heart quilt design. Have a wonderful day!

Lovely Day Layout by Paige Evans

Tuesday, March 11, 2025

Hello scrappy friends! Here is the last of the 8 layouts that I taught how to create with the Lovely Blooms collection at the Pinkfresh Studio May 2023 Create & Connect virtual event. This layout features another cut file that was included in the kit so it's not available anymore, however I have hundreds of flower cut files in Silhouette!
To create this page, trim off the barcode strip from the peach floral B-side of the Keep Growing paper to use as the background. Back the smaller Lovely Blooms Cut File with various patterned papers as well as patterned ephemera and envelopes. Once the cut file is backed, add foam squares to the back side then place it on the right side of the background paper.
Hand cut a wavy border of “grass” from the green grid B-side of the Start Somewhere paper and attach it across the bottom of the page using foam squares. Tuck (4) Floral Ephemera die cuts that have been shaped/slightly bent into the grass at the bottom, using liquid glue on the middle of the back only so the petals and leaves can lift off the page.
Overlap (2) 3x4” photos at the top left corner. Tuck them under the cut file as needed so they become incorporated into the background. Create the title below the photo on the left with a mix of a large Puffy Phrase Sticker and Puffy Alpha Stickers. Slide a pink label Cardstock Sticker under the right side of the cut file/flowers then write journaling on top with a pink pen. Attach a hummingbird Ephemera die cut at the top with foam squares and finish with peach Enamel Dots scattered around the page.
Thanks for stopping by! Let me know if you have any questions and have a happy scrappy day!

Daisy Halves Layout by Valerie Bisson

Hi crafty friends! Valerie Bisson here today and I’m so happy to be sharing my newest layout with you featuring Paige's Daisy Halves cut file and her Adventurous collection.
I cut the Daisy Halves from kraft cardstock and backed the daisy centers with teal patterned paper and the petals with yellow floral paper from the 12x12 Paper Pad. For the background I chose the pretty teal plaid paper, also from the 12x12 Paper Pad. I adhered the cut file flat to the page but curled up the edges. Between the two daisy halves I placed my two photos and the daisy card flanked with hand stitching across the top and bottom. Paint splatters always make me happy so of course I added them all around the page in white acrylic paint. I added my title with the Mini Thickers, embellishments from the Cardstock Stickers, Puffy Phrase Stickers, Charm Staples, and the 8-Page Sticker Book. In addition to those embellishments I added a few fussy cut daisies around the photo, journaling, and a few gold pearls added to the centers of the floral stickers. Lastly, I added more hand stitching with French knots in the centers of the daisies - I just love all the texture it adds. That completes my layout! Happy crafting!

So Much Magic in You Layout by Sophie Delorme

Monday, March 10, 2025

Hello scrapbook friends! It's Sophie Delorme here with you today and I am excited to share this new layout! I used one of Paige's Adventurous paired with her Frames Background 8.5x11 cut file.
I created a mixed media background with some inks from my stash and white acrylic paint. I backed the Frames Background 8.5x11 cut file with many patterned papers from the Adventurous collection and machine stitched on each frame with white thread. I added foam adhesive on the back of the cut file then placed it on the page. I printed my photo in black & white then used floral and other die cuts to embellish around the photo. I also fussy cut a few butterflies from Paper 19 and used a mix of Mini Thickers and Puffy Phrase Stickers to create my title. I am so happy with the result! This cut file is more than versatile! It can be used to frame a lot of photos, or journaling, or like I did here, many different patterned papers without making the layout look too busy. I hope that it can give you new ideas for your next creation. Have a wonderful day!

Spring Fling Weekend Recap

Sunday, March 9, 2025

On March 7th, 8th, and 9th 2025 Andrea, Lindsay, and I taught an event we called Spring Fling Weekend at The Scrapbook Haven store in Omaha, Nebraska!
We have been planning and preparing for this event for about 7 months and at last the weekend arrived!
I got my nails painted with flowers to be on theme.
Just some of the goodies included in the jam-packed kit which was made with vintage Paige Evans/Pink Paislee collections, pieces from Adventurous, a smattering of Vicki Boutin, plus a 49 and Market album!
My flight was early Friday morning direct from Denver to Omaha and the plane had these fun decorated overhead bins, I've never seen that before. The flight was only one hour, by the time we reached cruising altitude we started our descent. I like short, smooth flights.
Hotel snapshots from Days 1 & 2 of 3.
I rented a car and drove to the hotel, checked in, walked on the treadmill for a bit, then headed to the store to set up for the Meet'n'Greet & Make'n'Takes!
The Scrapbook Haven is an actual scrapbook store.
Scrapbook stores are so far and few between these days so it's a literal treat to be in one. Reminds me of my very first job at Yesterdays when I was 16. The good ol' days!
I'll take one of everything please!
Mixed media.
Christmas.
Sprinkles and Dies. Excited to have some of my own Pinkfresh Studio dies here soon! :)
I hope lots of people shop at this store and keep it in business forever!
Hey that's us on the calendar!
Giveaway table and cute flower balloons.
Andrea's amazing mini album samples.
All set up and ready to open the doors!
I took a lot of pictures this time which I'm proud of since many times I forget!
The event space fit 50 people each with their own 6 foot table for crafting all weekend long.
6 wall mounted TVs ensure everyone can see everything from every angle.
The first make'n'take of the evening was place cards taught by Lindsay.
Then Andrea showed how to make a cute traveler's notebook insert.
I finished up the evening with a 1-page mini album stuffed with tags! Also, how serendipitous that the slogan for Nebraska is The Good Life - I had no idea!!
Teaching in-person allows 1-on-1 time for anyone who has any questions.
Signing books and surrounded by my people :)
All of Ramie's finished make'n'takes.
The next morning I taught how to make three 12x12 layouts.
It was Gena's birthday (she's one of the store employees) so we all put on party hats and sung to her.
I love how people change and adapt my layout ideas to make them their own. Jennifer used only pink and green to back her flower cut file.
Teresa stitched through the wonky stripes.
After lunch Andrea taught her three 12x12 layouts class.
Workin' away!
At the end of the night Katie Pertiet stopped by - it was so fun to meet her!
On the last day Lindsay taught how to fill this super fun and interactive scrapbook!
Photos from the event:
This is the store manager Brandy - she is simply the best!
Selfies!
Thank you for an amazing weekend, everyone who traveled from near and far to celebrate in the love of paper, stickers, and glue! We couldn't do this without you!!
We hope to be back next year and make this an annual event!
Our next big in-person event will be here in Colorado August 2nd & 3rd using my first Pinkfresh Studio collection and registration will open very soon so stay tuned!
