Hey friends! It’s Inessa Persekian back on the blog and this layout is all about soft colors, sweet memories, and celebrating my daughter’s 13th birthday! I used Paige's older Bloom Street collection and her Spring Banner cut file.
I started with a 12x12 piece of white textured cardstock and stitched a simple border around the edge, leaving about a quarter inch of space. It gave me the perfect foundation to build my layout. At the top of my page, I added the paper backed Spring Banner. These papers from Bloom Street are so soft and pretty - perfect for the vibe I was going for. I added a few butterflies fluttering around for extra whimsy. My photo area features a 4x6" photo layered with pieces from the ephemera pack such as tags, banners, tickets, and a cute notebook edge. I love how all the layers frame the photo and add interest without overwhelming the page. I added the "You Are My Sunshine" sentiment at the top of the photo along with another butterfly and a flower sticker from the sticker sheet. For my journaling, I kept it simple by writing directly on one of the tags. It was the perfect little spot to commemorate this special birthday. To finish the page, I created a small embellishment cluster in the bottom right corner using another tag, a floral bouquet ephemera, and - of course - one more butterfly! The final touch was a soft splatter of gold ink across the layout for a little shimmer & shine. I really love how this layout came together - it's soft, pretty, and full of happy vibes. I hope it inspires you to pull out some spring colors and document a sweet memory of your own! Happy crafting!
