Hey Hi Hello Layout by Paige Evans

Sunday, November 24, 2024

Here is another layout I made for the Fall/Winter 2024 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine which you can download and browse for free HERE! I used my Adventurous collection to create a stitched paper hearts in a grid layout.
I have a process video for this layout, woohoo!
The main focal element is repeated stitched paper hearts and I made a cut file which you can download for free HERE. I backstitched through them with coordinating colors of thread and then placed them in a grid across a pink paper background found in the 12x12 Project Pad. I topped each heart with a small embellishment and replaced two of the hearts with heart-shaped photos (you could replace even more hearts with more photos!). Printed journaling strips finish up this page!
Be sure to check out the Fall/Winter 2024 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine and try creating a similar page with my Adventurous collection and the Heart for Stitching cut file! Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for stopping by!

Fall Beauties Layout by Sophie Delorme

Sophie Delorme here today sharing a cute autumnal page created with Paige's Adventurous collection and four cut files: Fall Cursive, Leaf Swirls, a Leaf and one more Leaf.
I chose a gorgeous pink paper from the 12x12 Project Pad as my background and added white gesso and inks from my stash to the center. I did an offset cut with the Fall Cursive title and used Paper 18 to back it. I backed the leaves with vellum and several fall colors using Paper 9Paper 18, and a beautiful pink floral from the 6x8 Paper Pad. I centered my photo on the page, placed the leaves all around it, and added a few Floral Die Cuts as well. I completed my title with Mini Thickers, handwritten journaling on a label, a few sequins, and stamped the date. I love to create non-traditional autumnal layouts with bold colors and the Adventurous collection was perfect for that!

Hay There Layout by Phil Donahue

Thursday, November 21, 2024

Phil Donahue here back on Paige's blog with an autumnal layout featuring the Adventurous and a Tractor from the 20 Fall Cut Files Bundle. This layout showcases some mixed media, a simple way of backing a cut file, and three cute photos of my niece playing on a tractor during a visit to a local farm!
To begin, I cut the Tractor out of white cardstock. Using the Cricut Design Space contour tool I created a solid shape from the cut file. I cut that out of a pink plaid paper from the 12x12 Project Pad and adhered the Tractor over top. An ombre plaid paper from Tricks & Treats served as my base background. I added white and gold texture paste to the paper using a wonky grid stencil. I tore strips from Paper 10 and Paper 22 from the 12x12 Paper Pad to create a border at the top and bottom of the layout and anchor the photos and cut file. Next, I created my title using the large alpha Thickers and embellished with enamel dots and Floral Die Cuts to finish the layout! I hope you found some inspiration from this layout and try Paige's 20 Fall Cut Files along with her Adventurous collection!

Wednesday, November 20, 2024

Do you prefer double-page spreads, single 12x12 pages, or are you a fan of both?!? I'm trying to make more DPSs! Here is one I created for the Scrap and Learn event this summer using my Adventurous collection and a border of handmade paper suitcases perfect for documenting a day in the colorful and vibrant city of Cozumel, Mexico!
LEFT PAGE
RIGHT PAGE
Paper piecing these suitcases together and turning them into a colorful border brought a huge smile to my face the entire time I was creating this page. Have I mentioned that I love scrapbooking? Oh so much. Even after 24 years, the joy I get from putting memories and pretty paper things together can't be beat!
Different depths of adhesive brings the suitcases to life and creations dimension and shadows.

Autumn Layout by Monique Lowe

Monique Lowe here with a colorFALL layout documenting the most magical rainbow! I’ve used Paige's Autumn Title and Leaves designs – both from the 20 Autumn Cut Files and Adventurous collection!
To complement my rainbow theme, I’ve used a bright and colorful selection of patterned papers and embellishments from Adventurous. To start, I cut the Leaves from white cardstock. To back them, I used the offset tool in Silhouette Studio to add extra thickness to the edge of each leaf, then deleted all other cut lines, leaving a solid shape for each leaf. I cut these from a rainbow of patterned papers from Adventurous as well as an exclusive patterned paper from the 12x12 Project Pad and Paper 3 from Blooming Wild. To back the leaves, I added a thin strip of liquid glue to the center of each white leaf - this allowed for the edges of the leaves to lift when attached to the colorful backing. I added machine stitching in coordinating colors down the middle of each leaf. Using the rainbow of patterned papers, I cut the Autumn Title and hand stitched the edges using a backstitch and coordinating embroidery threads. With my main decorative elements ready, I focused on my background. Using a sheet of Paper 17 from Blooming Wild I covered it in a layer of white gesso - this helped soften the pattern but still allowed a bit of the leaf detail to shine through. Using a selection of shimmery yellow, orange and gold watercolors I added a hint of color and splatters to the background to give it an autumnal glow. Once dry, I placed the letters horizontally across the page, overlapping each other in rainbow order. Continuing this color sequence, I created an arch over the letters using the Leaves Cut File. I added in Floral Die Cuts along with a few Mini Puffy Stickers, my favorite being the cute little birdie sitting on the first "U"! I backed my three photos using tissue paper and Paper 12 and placed each photo slightly offset in a horizontal row below the large title. I punched a little tab using the same patterned paper and stamped the date, tucking it in beside the photo on the left. To finish off my layout I extended my title using the word ‘happy’ from the Puffy Phrase Stickers, along with a Chipboard tab and Mini Thickers. Happy Autumn Rainbows couldn’t have been more perfect for this magical rainbow! Finally, I trimmed ¼" off each edge and stuck my page onto a sheet of Paper 16. This gave my layout a subtle border, finishing it off perfectly. Thank you so much for stopping by to take a look at my new layout using Adventurous and the 20 Autumn Cut Files! I hope you feel inspired to add a splash of rainbow to your autumnal layouts too!

Montreal Layout by Kelly Daye

Tuesday, November 19, 2024

Kelly Daye here with a layout featuring Paige’s beautiful Adventurous collection and part of her One Day At A Time cut file.
While on our way to an east coast scrappy event, my bestie Nadine and I visited Montreal. It was for only one day, but we made over 16,000 steps that day!! I cut "One Day" from white cardstock three times because I like the depth created by gluing three cut files together. I paper backed it with colors from Paper 18. I love all the colorful frames on pretty Paper 17, they introduce so many colors you can use on the rest of a page. It’s a little change-up from white, but still a neutral background. I made a banner from the metallic wordie paper found in the 6x8 Paper Pad. It adds some nice bling! I used a scallop punch to make the navy trim from Washi Tape. A little cluster of elements decorate a Chipboard label. I’m loving the colorful Mini Alpha’s spelling out ‘Old Montreal’. My photo is backed with a pretty postcard and tag from the Journaling Ephemera. Once in place, I created generously layered clusters using the Floral Ephemera, Cardstock Stickers, Enamel Dots, Mini Puffy StickersChipboard flowers, flowers from the Sticker Book, and fussy cut butterflies from Paper 19. I love that there are so many different types of floral elements to layer up in Adventurous including vellum, chipboard, cardstock, rub-ons, and stickers. They make every page interesting, colorful and happy!

A Woodland Walk Layout by Jackie Ashton

Monday, November 18, 2024

Jackie Ashton here with my newest layout using Paige's Tricks & Treats collection and her Leaf Wreath from the 20 Autumn Cut Files.
To start my layout I cut the Leaf Wreath from white cardstock, adhered it onto Paper 4, and cut around the outer edges leaving the center piece in place. After adding a color wash to my background, I added the cut file to the middle, using foam squares to give it dimension. My photographs are printed at 3x4" which I matted with patterned paper. Behind my photographs I added a tag, frames, and ephemera from the Ephemera Die Cuts & Floral Die Cuts. I love the Embroidery Kit and included the lovely large flower tucked behind my photographs. I finished by using various embellishments from the Cardstock Stickers, Puffy Phrase Stickers, Enamel Dots, and used the Mini Foam Thickers for my title. Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you're inspired to use Paige's Tricks & Treats collection and 20 Autumn Cut Files bundle!

Colorfall Layout by Paige Evans

Sunday, November 17, 2024

Here is a layout I made for the Fall/Winter 2024 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine which you can download and browse for free HERE! I used a combination of my Adventurous and Tricks & Treats collections to create a colorFALL layout.
The main focal element is a Quilt for Stitching cut file which you can download for free HERE. I backstitched through it with white thread and then backed each section of the cut file with a patterned paper in a rainbow of colors. Clusters of floral die cuts and stickers tucked underneath and on top of the edges tie in the colors of the leaves and photos layered on the bottom left corner.
I hope this layout inspires you to check out the Fall/Winter 2024 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine and try creating a similar page with my Adventurous and Tricks & Treats collections! Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for stopping by!

Fall Layout by Inessa Persekian

Thursday, November 14, 2024

Inessa Persekian here sharing a new layout using Adventurous and Paige's Leaf Heart from the 20 Fall Cut Files!
When creating my fall-themed layout, I wanted to challenge myself by using Adventurous which is a travel-themed collection, proving that sometimes the best seasonal layouts come from thinking outside the box. I focused on warm autumn tones and textures to bring this layout to life, embracing the colors and layering techniques to evoke the feel of fall without needing traditional fall icons. I started with a foundational layer using Paper 9, which I complemented with a second layer of Paper 10 cut to 11x11 to create a frame-like effect. Adding a trimmed piece of white cardstock as the top layer, I brought in color by stamping yellow ink in a heart shape, creating splatters for an organic look. This splash of yellow anchored the layout, setting a warm tone right from the center. For my main element, I chose Paige's Leaf Heart from the 20 Fall Cut Files which I backed with various papers in rich oranges, reds, and yellows. The papers ranged from the 6x8 Paper Pad to larger 12x12 sheets, allowing me to mix patterns and hues in a way that feels both seasonal and visually captivating. I used foam dots to lift the heart, adding depth and dimension, with some leaves left unbacked to let the inked heart peek through. I built clusters with Chipboard and Floral Die Cuts. For the title, I combined a “Happy” Chipboard piece with a “Family” Puffy Phrase Sticker, finishing with a scattering of Enamel Stickers and Mini Puffy Stickers in coordinating colors. These final touches added just the right amount of detail without overwhelming the layout! By focusing on a warm color palette and selective layering, I transformed a travel-themed collection into a distinctly autumnal layout. This process taught me the value of versatility in scrapbooking - looking past the obvious theme and focusing on color and texture can open up creative possibilities in unexpected ways! Give it a try and let me know what you think!
